I spent SO MUCH TIME trying to find a good post partum girdle - there are so many mixed reviews and fake reviews here on amazon these days. Some are really cheap and others really expensive so I decided to try this one first before going for something super pricey. Well to my pleasant surprise this works great! I have no need to buy another and it's adjustable so it will last for awhile as my waist continues to shrink. The one thing that's annoying is you can't really wear this while sitting down, but that goes for anything similar. I have been wearing body shapers for a while and this one is by far the most comfortable one I have worn, far more comfortable than some of the expensive ones out there! And best of all, it manages to hold it all in without pinching anywhere or cutting into your flesh at odd places. Also the opening between the legs is really really wide, which makes it so convenient when you are wearing it during the day. I needed to buy one of these for a costume. A costume in which I needed to have a relatively muscular male physique. I needed something that would give the illusion of a smooth chest rather than any hint of a "muffin top". (My muffin top was more apparent when I wore my chest binder). My costume has baggy clothing though, so I knew I was going to be okay if I bought this. Keep in mind that I'm a 16 year old girl, 5'3, 135 lbs. I am really curvy and I got this because people said the top WOULDN'T roll down, well, apparently if you have a narrow waist like I do then it still will. I'm pretty frustrated by it because all I want is shapewear that will stay in place, but it apparently doesn't exist. Instead the "grippies" at the top just pull at my skin, and then my clothes when they start to roll down. Yes, it does help smooth out the lines under a dress, but that doesn't help much when I get a bump from the shapewear curving in on itself. It's to the point where when I do wear it (because I spent the money) I end up tugging it back into place the entire night. Exhausting and I definitely wouldn't buy again. |

I bought this as a waist trainer to use postpartum, but my midwife advised that using an abdominal binder like this is not as good as using my abdominal muscles (I did not have a c-section). I returned it on her advice. |

I was so excited to get this . It arrived today . I am 5ft 8 in weigh 176. It was greT support for upper thigh and butt area without smooshing you flat however it definitely shows around the lower thigh area where the bottom lining is. The torso is a lil too long and really gathers when I sit. Also I ordered a 10/12 I'm in the last hook . The only part I'm happy with is that it smooths out the upper thigh and butt. If I could have tried this on which you can't before receiving it of course I would not have purchased it:( feeling sad .. I was solo excited. |

I don't really love the boy shorts. They are rather loose and do roll up, however it isn't annoying and once on I really don't even notice it. Under most clothes this is unnoticeable. I did buy it to wear under a sheer, tight fitting Halloween costume, and because of the way it is made this shaper can be seen through the back on the odd seam line down by the butt part. Otherwise you can't even tell its there. |
