you definitely have to buy 1 to 2 sizes up. Does not flatten the tummy as advertised. I think this shapewear is only good for people who have very loose skin in the abdomen area and just need to tighten up the look but if you have a protruding belly (like most folks) then this product will not disguise it very well under your clothing. Not a great belly band at all. It has an awkward fit and it sweezes my midsection but the upper and lower parts of my stomach are bulging out with no band the cover it all adequately. Okay I took a risk in ordering this piece , seeing as it only had 1 review :/ and I'm pleasantly surprised to find that I really love it . I'm 5"2 I am wearing this piece with a waist trainer underneath because it gave me more shape as well as helped tighten the dress around me all together. The dress is a tad too big (I got a small ) but with the waist trainer and bra underneath it fit to perfection at the top , with the laces tightly zipped . The bottom was a disappointment because the dress flares out . Because I was surprised at the quality of this item and how it fit at the top it was no biggie . I am having a friend alter the sides with her sowing machine so it fits tight from top to bottom . Unfortunately I have had to use Shapeware for most of my life. I have a lot of experience with them. These boys shorts are awesome. They leave no panty line or leg lines and they firm exactly were I need it, in the tummy area. When I first tried these on I was a little worried that they were too tight to pull up, but with a little finagling I was able to get them up with ease. I got them in a large and it fits perfectly. I knew what I was getting as I already own these in a couple of colors. They stay up all day and don't bunch. I like the shorter shorts as I like to wear dresses and don't want to worry about them showing. For me these work great and you can't beat the price! |

This is one of my favorite flexees from Maidenform. It's really great providing shaping from the hips through the waist. Just every now and again, they "creep" a bit and I need to do a discreet pull. It's worth the trouble though, especially if you don't want to worry about your "slip" showing if you're not wearing slacks or a knee or tea-length dress. It also avoids the bother of the pantyline showing under slacks or a close fitting dress. |
