I purchased two different support belts to help fix diastasis recti post partom. This one is way better. It is better at pulling everything in and is more comfortable and more supportive. I still have to readjust it every hour or so, but I'm constantly moving around and then sitting down to nurse. It's true that nursing isn't comfortable, but skipping out on the underwire and using a nursing sleep bra is helpful and nursing is still doable. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. This feels good so long as I'm standing but I think I'm just a hare too tall. I'm almost 5'9 and i love the back support I feel wearing it in stage 2, but it feels like it runs a touch short on me. Also the plastics in this when I'm sitting pinch my skin. It feels like it could be very good for those that need the extra back support like me. I haven't used this much because I'm slightly uncomfortable in it and could only see myself wearing it at home while up and doing stuff, definitely not while sitting down. The fabric/material isn't very flexible so when you sit it feels like you have a barrel over you somewhat. Ordered this girdle after the binder provided from the hospital for my c-section recovery would not get tighter to give additional support. I wear this occasionally when doing physical activities and it prevents me from putting too much strain on my core. It doesn't hide under clothing entirely however it is less noticeable than the binder I replaced. I do not find it comfortable to wear for long periods of time and it can irritate my incision, but I just wear a camisole or maternity pants under it. |
