I am 5'1 and weighed 118 3 days post partum and this thing was tight, now at 113 -4 weeks post partum my waist is much smaller and it does get a little lose, but that's a good thing. I like this belt for the most part. It definitely keeps things in as it should. But here are my personal concerns. | Tag: postpartum belly belt reviews
but sometimes when I sit the Velcro pops off and I have to lift my shirt to redo the belt- not practical. There are 3 pieces but if you use all 3, it's very bulky and obvious. The one piece that is large and flat I recommend that you wear backwards and Velcro it at your lower back. This way your entire abdomen is cinched in. The skinny belt, wear under the bra line as normal. The one large bulky belt can be used to sleep (I take this off to shower and sleep. If you can tolerate sleeping in it, it's better for you). I will continue to use this while in the house and use my "mother tucker" shirt when I have to run errands. I recommend belly binding as a way to help your waist return to normal quicker but I can't recommend this belt because the major flaw is keeping it shut. I intend to bind for 4-6 weeks.

Fit as expected. Very comfortable. Material is light weight and breathable. I feel the quality is, good material seems to be really durable. Could only wear it for about an hour or so 2 days after csection. I feel its doing the job belly is shrinking down pretty quickly. Love that its adjustable; can get it to fit really tight and provides awesome back support. After a c section I was looking for a girdle to help with the pain as I moved around the house. This girdle helped decrease some of the pain and is helping flatting in my stomach. I wouldn't want new moms to overuse this girdle, I would suggest only wearing it during the day or whenever it best helps. It's a good idea to let your tummy and incision breathe a bit or to at least loosen it a lot while sleeping. And consult your doctor about how you should safely use a girdle if you're experiencing a lot of incision pain. |
